MKT 3000 Phase A Presentation

Resently in my marketing class i have done a PPT presentation on American Apparel. About their Background, market share, clothing segmantation, comsumer perception, Trends, media usages, and positioning. we were told to conduct a quantitative and qualitative research to find out their consumer perception and trends which will show where they stand in the market. who the market leader in that particuler segmented field.
American Apparel's top two competitors are H&M and Urban Outfitters. H&M is the market leader in this segmented area. Financially H&M is doing great compare to AA. They use famous stars like David Beckham and Donatella Versace. All three of them use pretty much the same media platform such as print, websites and social netwoking sites. We then analyse the SWOT for American Appareltheir strength, weaknesses, opportunuties and threats.

We the fuchsia group worked togather to pull all these information togather. I was really thankful for the opportunity to be able to work with this group.Overall it was an awesome experiance! thankz a lot to all my group members Maria, Stefanie, Tim and Rondolph.

Projective Technique

Projective Technique is the proejction of one's own thought. This is very effective technique of revealing one's own thought or feeing about an object. Direct question has not been successful in uncovering consumers insight. it will not reveal true feeling that consumer possess.Consumer view them as highly personal. Sometime consumers produce response that the researcher would like to hear.In some culture it is rude to voice one's thought directly (asian).

here are some example of Projective technique!
1) Completion of sentence, story, cartoon; which mean the respondent will be ask to complete it.
2) Creation of image or interpretation of a pictures: respondent will be ask to draw an image of the object that are being research about
3) Word association; respondent will be ask to say the first word that come to their mind.
