Motivation

Throughout this semester professor Edward B Kurpis has used various motivation tools to motivate us in learning and appreciating the subject of management. These tools are class (Job) design which includes five core class (Job) characteristic such as Skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy and feedback,  rewards ( intrinsic and extrinsic) and Maslow's five level of hierarchy needs. Using these tools throughout the semester really motivated us to keep engage in the class and helped us learn the subject of management in easy and simple way.

I was motivated by "The power of vision" documentary in this class. This documentary really motivates me to find my own "star fish" meaning find my vision for future. It says action without vision is time passing and vision without action is just a dream, never come true. So now I am on the process of taking right action to have my vision come true.

This class motivates me to change who I am now in terms of dealing with people from the management prospective. I learned a lot of management principles form this class that I now apply to my daily activities at home as well in public. I was surprised to find some of the management characteristics that exist in me that was unaware of. Now that I know so can take proud by exercising them more.

All in all, this is one of my favorite class this semester. It is my pleasure to have professor Edward B Kurpis for this course.
